Soft shackles are getting more and more popular. They are simple, cheap and they do not damage your boat when smashing around. In the pictures below you can see three different types of shackles. We strongly recommend the one from the left picture. It has all the advantages of the other two and none of the setbacks. The main advantage over the left one which you can get in every sailing shop is that it is self tightening.
